The sighed end of the skein

John the Baptist announced the imminent coming of the Messiah who would put everyone in line. But when he recognizes Christ, his open heart lets itself be taken aback: it is in the delicacy of a dove that the true power of the Spirit comes, the true lion of the tribe of Judah is a lamb. Grace is divine and human, it does not trample humanity but makes each one mature in a free and serene path, made to measure, full of common sense in the light.

It is beautiful to see in the Gospels how Jesus accompanies each specific person in his very personal, well beyond the schemes, path towards the fullness of life. Feelings of guilt, forcing, mechanical responses, useless outbursts as a reaction, are ever more easily recognized by the heart that grows serene in grace. A heart that in this simplicity learns not to be deceived even by wounds, fears, schemes.

How many cages, how many weights, how many knots, are untied: my yoke is soft, my weight is light. The prodigal son finds himself emptied, too dependent on false relationships, the eldest feels the fragility of a rigid and inaffective heart, turned off at every light, at every vitality. The escape from the spirituality of the minor turns out to be a mere doing and a mere doing reveals the spiritualism of the eldest son. We then go to the psychologist who proposes as a remedy a different mere doing, functioning, perhaps variously juxtaposed with some unidentified spirituality.

The society of abstract reason, of all-out false technique, leads towards personal and social collapse. Man needs to find himself in a free and serene search for identity and only then in authentic exchange with others. Ways are found to get out of the empty abstractions by ever more resuming contact with one’s simple heart in the light full of common sense, to measure. Self-confidence because the path of trust in Jesus is being found and every limit is relativised, being open to natural integral maturation like Christ who grew in wisdom, age and grace.

New spirituality, new culture, new philosophy, new science, new psychology, new logic… No more splits, abstractions, of faith and reason: Jesus never spoke of it, instead he taught us the path of spiritual and psychophysical consciousness, of heart, which matures in the serene light (therefore every man, even an atheist, is, with his gifts, in such a going towards the Lord). New life therefore because on this path one lives and sees everything in an ever new, simple and profound way. It is no coincidence that Maria said that in the end her immaculate heart will triumph.
