The marginality of the seeker of truth

The marginality of the seeker of truth

A sincere, lived-in search for the truth directs towards dialogue, sharing, with each person. Also towards a willingness to build together, in peace. At the same time it entails going as far as possible along substantial paths without stopping at the codes of the apparatuses, at the interests of groups… It is no coincidence that prophets, true innovators, are often marginal figures, if not completely out of the spotlight of some notoriety.

We Christians observe that God became man and the powers eliminated him. Hence, those who love the truth must know that it must be sought in the most unexpected places and ways, free from so many evaluations in various ways of the system. Today then in the era of all-pervasive standardized thought, to find people, intuitions, originals, you have to sift more and more into the most hidden corners. And so even those who seek such subjects must experience a gift that a believer would call prophecy.

Furthermore, it should be noted that the most fruitful discoveries arise from the maturation of consciousness which can only be better transmitted live. In particular, the priest who seeks the truth in depth in daily relationships will be able to tend to accompany the growth of others in an ever more adequate way rather than displaying an innovative culture which he too has developed. So he will be able in almost all cases to advise the people with whom he shares his concrete life not to read his books, even if they are full of written ideas. I had thought for a moment of proposing on Youtube a newscast of a free man, in which to present my gaze, certainly debatable in many things, in faith on so many vicissitudes of our age. I saw that the spiritual videos that I edited on Youtube were immediately followed.

The seeker of truth is easily a grain of wheat that dies in the earth. At least in many cases the priest will feel this as his natural way. The scattered seeds will ripen and others will develop many possible consequences. What did you go to see in the desert, a reed blown by the wind? A man wrapped in soft robes? But they live in the palaces of kings. Here is what Jesus says about the Baptist. And Mary sings in the Magnificat that God scatters in the thoughts of their hearts those who appear above, overthrows the mighty from their thrones, raises the humble, fills the hungry with goods, sends the rich away empty. The powerful build a story of appearances, the real and profound one God leads with the little ones, with every man of good will.
